Tagore Fine Indian Cuisine (Fully Licensed) is the NEW Restaurant & Takeaway in the heart of Pontefract Town Centre. The restaurant is named after the 20th Century Indian Nobel Laureate, Poet, Philosopher, Musician, Writer, and Educator Robindranath TAGORE.

We at Tagore bring you the finest Traditional Indian Cuisine set within a modern yet contemporary setting, designed to make your eating out experience memorable and enjoyable.

Our motto is to concentrate on a relatively small number of favourite dishes, so that we can do them well because quality control is very important to us. You can download our menu as a PDF.

Chef uses fresh ingredients to cook every meal we serve. Both our Curry and Tandoori Chefs have many years experience in the industry, bringing you the very best selection of the finest cuisine from the Indian Sub-Continent. Do not compare us on price but on the taste and quality of our food.

All our staff are hygienically trained in food preparation and hold the necessary food standards qualification. We strive to prepare food in a clean hygienic environment using the best cooking methods and all our dishes are suitable for vegetarians. If you require any advice in choosing your meal or for dietary reasons, then please talk to us in advance.

We provide outside catering for functions, parties, birthdays, weddings, business meetings/seminars and other events. Please contact us further to discuss your requirements.
